What this site is

Every tour on this site is a real, bookable listing from Viator, a TripAdvisor company, serving the Tamarindo area. Photos and traveler ratings come from those listings, and prices are a snapshot we re-check against Viator (last checked Sep 30, 2026). Viator's checkout always shows the current price. What we add is the organization: honest categories, area pages that reflect how pickups actually work on this coast, and guides written to help you choose rather than to fill space.

When something is seasonal, weather-dependent, or never guaranteed — turtle sightings, whale season, Río Celeste's blue on a rainy week — we say so instead of promising it.

• What's listed: 477 tours currently bookable on Viator for the Tamarindo area. Tours Viator reports as withdrawn are hidden from lists and comparisons, and their pages say so.
• How they're ranked:by Viator traveler rating weighted by the number of reviews, so a 5.0 from three reviews doesn't outrank a 4.8 from a thousand. Nobody pays for placement.
• How prices are checked: an automated check against Viator runs every week, and every price on the site shows its check date (last: Sep 30, 2026). Viator's checkout shows the current price.
• Comparison tablesuse only what each listing states: duration, private or shared, pickup, inclusions and the youngest age Viator lets you book. When a listing doesn't say, the table says “See listing” rather than guessing.

It's labelled and dated, and it never claims we took a tour unless we did.
