Playa Conchal

Conchal earns the hype on the right day: white shell sand, turquoise water, and calm conditions that make it the best pure swimming beach within reach of Tamarindo. It fronts a large resort, but the beach itself — like all beaches in Costa Rica — is public.

Getting there defines the experience.
